The Government of Rajasthan is well aware of the role of Voluntary Sectors in service delivery, raising voice and empowerment of the society as well as improving the accountability of departments, agencies and public institutions and raising the demand of public service by the society, especially the deprived sections. The origin of the voluntary sector is that this sector can effectively play an important role in the economic and social upliftment of the people of the State. In the absence of a coherent and common opinion on issues affecting the segment and equally affecting the sector, the economic and social needs of the target beneficiaries have been affected. There was no policy in the past for the best use of their energy in the development programs of the State. There is a need for harmony between the State policy and the implementation mechanism with a view to creating a proper environment for the development of the Voluntary Sector. “Voluntary Sector Development Centre” provides a platform for registration and accreditation of NGOs, Trusts and Foundations etc.
